I left Pa in 1981 I lived in FLA, CA, NM, AZ, NY, TX, and dealt with the respective DMV's in almost all. Then I moved back to PA 30+ years later. NEVER have I encountered such bureaucratic BS, and rude, arrogant people as I did in this office. So now I find myself out of state and still a legal resident and had need to contact DMV to find out how to deal with my soon to expire DL. I found that the people in Harrisburg are just as rude. I guess the old restaurant saying is true "The fish stinks from the head".
The worst PennDot employees I ever met there, that serve there. Some have been there 20 years plus. Rude, unprofessional and mostly rude to Foreigners.
What few people writing these reviews have ever done is go to any PennDOT centers near larger cities. Wait times in Meadville are average in relation to the number of people. The staff at this location is effective and knowledgeable. If a person is polite and courteous they will do the best they can while following the guidelines of their job. Showing up with incorrect paperwork and with an attitude is not their fault of the PennDOT employees. Thank you for all the help.
I have to come to odds with most of the reviewers that have given this Facility such a poor rating. The staff was in fact very efficient considering the amount of people waiting. They were extremely pleasant to me. Although I did not pass my Non Commercial Class B frankly that was not my examiners fault. She was a gem throughout the process. She made sure I understood what went wrong. If you decide to use the Meadville Facility or any other PA DMV facility just remember that they have tried and true guidelines to judge your performance by and like me if you are not up to speed it is not their fault, You need to do a much better job as a safe driver. Meadville DMV, Thanks for reminding me.
A complete waste of tax payer money and assets this place should be privatized immediately. Any business ran by people as rude and ignorant as this would never last. Complete joke.
