This morning my daughter and I showed up as promised to Famous Hair Salon in Meadville Pa. At the beginning of Jan while getting a hair cut our stylists asked if we would be interested in modeling for a hair dye class that was coming up? We asked about specifics and were told there was no charge and that they were having a class to lighten or darken hair free of charge for salon stylists at that location. We signed up and the stylist my daughter had went as far as to pick out color and claimed her for her model for the day of class. We showed up 15 min early and waited while students were being given there instructions. Then it happened .... the instructure addressed the three of sitting there and says we will strand test your hair and choose who we will use today...now at that moment I contained my instant desire to rip someone's face off. I stopped her right there and said "hold on, we were told to be here and left our contact information if any changes were to arise to contact us. I believe telling us that we would have our hair colored today as a part of this class was a misrepresentation of what we were told if your only going to choose one of us." The instructure states to me that due to unfortunate circumstances the salon manager had a family emergency and they would only be using one person. Now I can understand things coming up but having me waist my time and gas is ludicrous. Why not phone and say sorry ...give heads up give opportunity to let us decide if we still want to attempt to be a part of this class. To say the least I will be lodging a complaint with the manager to give opportunity to rectify this gross negligence on her stylists part and will at that time decide if this salon will ever have my business again. Poor planning on someone else's part doesn't justify you waisitng my time. I adjusted my schedule and day to accommodate for something I was asked to participate in and basically got told " sorry" and I guess deal with it. So Famous hair I will deal and you should know by that I mean I will let anyone and everyone know my displeasure if you fail to remedy this situation.
A good place to get your hair cut when in the need.... pretty fast service and easy to find...

I came in without an appointment and they helped me right away, were very nice, and gave me the exact haircut I wanted. Overall very great, and I have no complaints!
